Comments

Allscale is a slow-growing evergreen shrub that reaches 3.5 to 7 feet in height and roughly the same in diameter. The branches are gray to yellowish-brown. The bark sheds in long strips. Male and female flowers appear on separate plants. The male flowers are at the leaf axil or on spikes. Female flowers appear in the numerous branches in clusters. Its yellow to cream-colored flowers typically bloom from May to August. Usually the fruit ripens from October to December and seeds are dispersed from November to May. Allscale is extremely drought-resistant.
